A few weeks ago we got to go to the reading fair at PG elementary where Ella had done a project board all by herself on a non fiction book about sea turtles. She did this all on her own during school time (shout out to Mrs Blake for not having it be an at home project!). Ella drew a gorgeous picture of sea turtles, eggs with a net over them for safety, and the ocean. She crafted and typed out each topic she had to cover, and had to do an oral presentation to the judges. She came in first place for non fiction at PG!! That led us to today, where Ella represented PG at the county literacy fair at McDowell Tech. Luke, Ev, and I were able to watch her receive the 3rd place in the county for non-fiction award! You can see just some of the many kids sitting on the floor whose projects were entered. We are SO proud of you Ella!!
