A look into the daily lives of Matt, Sarah, Noah, Ella and Luke... and the people traveling with us on the journey.

Guess what else?
Ella has slept in her big girl bed for over a week now! She doesn't even want to sleep in our bed anymore. We did make her sleep with us Friday night because her temp was over 103 degrees and she was having a hard time because of coughing. But... she already told me tonight that she is ready to sleep in her big girl bed! Now if she would just find an interest in potty training...
One of my most prized possessions is the Bible that was my grandfathers. This isn't just any Bible. It is his own commentary. On almost every page he has things circled, reference verses, words of wisdom, definitions, and commands. I've only had it since last fall, but it has been such a blessing to me. Each time I sit down with it, I can almost imagine him reading the same scripture. And he is teaching me things through his suggestions that I wouldn't have necessarily noticed. And he is pushing me to dig deeper. On the very first page, he has written in all caps "I BELIEVE BUT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND ALL THAT IS IN THIS BOOK." And boy, doesn't that explain my Christian walk! His questions have been answered now. He's at the feet of Jesus. And one day all of our questions will be answered too.
I am so thankful for the godly grandparents I was given. I am blessed in so many ways.

Some of my favorites...

The kids had so much fun this trip. They got to play in the tide pools below the pier each time we went to the beach. They were like little kiddie pools right on the ocean! Both of them loved to jump into the waves as they came too. We got to go to the beach, swim in the pool, ride a ferry boat, visit the aquarium, and spend lots of quality time with Nana and Papa Siak. We are so thankful we got to spend the weekend with them at the beach.
Hanging out with Uncle Will and Aunt Bekah

Last Wednesday Will and Bekah came just to spend the night (they were on their way to Alabama) and we couldn't pass up the chance to take a picture!

Couples Retreat
We had an amazing weekend at the couples retreat! God moved in an incredible way and His spirit was unmistakable throughout the entire weekend. We are beginning the Love Dare again
this week and I am so excited to see how God is going to change our marriage through this tool!

Mothers Day Brunch

Today I was invited to the Mothers Day Brunch at Noah's school. He has been so excited about having me come to a party just for mommies. The class read one of my favorite books outloud (Love you forever) and made us special gifts. It was a great morning with Noah and his buddies. I was a little sad too, because he only has one more week of preschool before summer break, which means kindergarten is around the corner! His such an incredible little man, and I am so glad he's mine!
