Birthday/Football Draft

With family's as big as ours, it's usually someones birthday.  So we threw in a quick birthday celebration for Mark and Jesse while we were all together.  After a good dinner all the guys (plus Sarah Cannon) jumped into the much hyped-up, intense, overly anticipated, 2012 fantasy football draft.

Last Friday we got to go start off our final weekend of summer by spending the day at Uncle LJ and Aunt Heather's house.  That evening marked the big Fantasy Football Draft between all the men, so to prep alot of us went outside.  I was just watching, but everyone loved throwing the ball around!

School days

Yesterday I took my Noah to 3rd grade!!! I am so excited for him. He does so well in school. And while I know 3rd grade is going to be challenging, I have complete confidence he is going to excel quickly!

Today was my baby girl Ella's first day of kindergarten! My heart aches just a wee bit but I know that she will do well too. She was so excited this morning!

You can pray for both of my babies, and their teachers by name - Ms Parker/Mrs Hollifield (Ella), and Mrs Hamilton.

Allie turns two!

Allie is one of my weekly shorties who comes to play at the house.  Last weekend we went to her birthday party and the kids had so much fun!  There was a bounce house, fishing, a little car ride, and a pinata the kids got to beat up.  It was a fun afternoon!

Full house

Ella is heading to kindergarten (weep, sniffle... I will post more about that later). So many would assume that my days would be slowing down soon. On the contrary. 860 Virginia road is a revolving door of short people. I get the fun times of hanging out with several toddlers almost every day during the week- and I love it. And the income allows me to be a stay at home mom. This morning I have two of my favorite shorties and we set up a coloring assembly line on the couch. This is a crazy fun messy silly season in our lives. And I am thankful for it!

Brothers

I didn't expect this.  When we found out we were having another boy when I was pregnant with Luke I was excited to watch two brothers grow.  But the relationship Noah and Luke have blows me away.  Noah is so nurturing and quick to attend to Luke's needs.  And Luke continually has his arms lifted to Noah, to let Noah be his buddy.  So often I find Luke in Noah's bed, snuggling.  Noah feeds him, comforts him, and makes him laugh.  And Luke thinks Noah is the best thing since sliced bread.  I feel like the luckiest mom in the world to have these two boys who love each other so much. 

I turned around while I was shooting Allies pictures to see Noah lifting Luke to see the fountain.  Absolutely typical.  Helping his brother without being asked. 

The Depot

A couple of weeks ago the kids and I headed to the Marion Train Depot to do a quick photo shoot for Allie.  While we were there the kids played, an awesome train drove on by, and I snapped a few pics of my babes.

Those moments when the day is winding down. The silence of bedtime is coming... And last minute snuggles before we say goodnight.

9.2. One month down.

I mentioned previously that I had followed Jennifer Hudson's path and joined Weight Watchers.  This past Monday was my one month mark.  I plan to update you once a month, because weekly would probably just be annoying. 

This month I lost 9.2 pounds.  The week before I had lost 2 pounds before joining WW, so since I began this journey to a new healthier Sarah I have lost 11.2.  If you need to picture how much that is - it's half a Luke. 

I am doing very well.  I only hate that I waited so long to start this transformation.  For years I've been scared to take the plunge and comfortable in my plus size physique.  That is no more.  I'm going to be a pretty hot babe once this is said and done.  :)

I have listened to these girls giggle for the past 30 minutes in their "boat". I love these peanuts!
