Back on the market!

Our house has been under contract for the past few weeks. We excitedly had already put an offer on another home - that we loved. The ball was rolling until today. Our buyers backed out.

I have learned so much over the past few weeks. First and foremost. God is good all the time. I wasted too much time worrying when He had it all under control. I listened to a sermon calling out worry as a sin and I'm determined not to let it get the best of my in the future. Secondly, Gods plans are greater than ours. The unknown is scary but we have a great team of people (mainly Steve our realtor) behind us. I believe our house will sell soon. It's great. Someone else will fall just in love with it as we are.

Tonight. Even with all the craziness, I am at peace. Perfect peace. The past weeks have been a roller coaster and I am so thankful to be able to get off "the ride" for awhile.

You can continue to pray for us as our future is unsure as far as our housing goes, but it is certain in Gods plan for our  family.

THE first haircut

I've been kind of obsessed with Luke's curls. For all our kids, once you cut the curls off they don't come back. So I knew once we said goodbye to them it would be the end. I put it off until this week, I wanted him to look like a surfer dude at the beach last week (more on that later).

So now.  As of today. He looks like a little boy. Baby no more!

Help me I'm sinking!

Back in April, after a pretty vicious rain a sink hole developed in our front yard. Since then it has reopened 4 times. 4 times. I'm serious. It's longest is around 20 feet, with the other two times being (only) around 6 feet. The city has been refilling it with dirt, but finally this week they agreed to fix our front yard due to the pipe underground being crushed. We are so very thankful that they have accepted responsibility and hopefully it will be completely fixed when we return from vacation next week. So until then, I give you our very own Grand Canyon ofMcDowell  county:
